Ellar initially began his acting career as a child artist in the 2001 movie titled “Boyhood” and since then, he had appeared in many movies, even including a small role in Linklater’s “Fast Food Nation” in 2006. His famous movies are many including “The Bigfoot” and “The Man Who Killed Hitler”.

• Ellar began his acting career as a child artist in 2001 with “Boyhood” which was directed by Richard Linklater. Coltrane played the lead in the movie. Ellar and other movie cast were intermittently filmed for fewer days between the time of May 2002 and August 2013, by the time he turned 19 years old, there were roughly 45-50 days of filming altogether.
• Then in 2002, he collaborated with “Lone Star State of Mind”, where he played the young Earl Crest.
