Chinsea Lee (born October 1, 1996), often known as Shenseea, is a gifted singer and songwriter from Jamaica. She attracted notice after making appearances on songs by Christina Aguilera, Sean Paul, and Vybz Kartel.
She acquired a recording deal with Interscope Records in 2019 and dropped the Tyga-featuring song Blessed, which has amassed over 58 million views on YouTube.
Shenseea appeared on the tracks Pure Souls with Roddy Ricch and Ok Ok Pt 2 with Rooga on Kanye West‘s Donda album in 2021. Shenseea was nominated for Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards for her contributions to Kanye West‘s album as a featured artist.
At the MOBO Awards in 2021, she was also named Best Reggae Act. She released the song Lick with Megan Thee Stallion in 2022.

Early Life & Education
Shenseea was born to a Korean father and an Afro-Jamaica mother on October 1, 1996. She was born at the Mandeville Regional Hospital in Mandeville, Jamaica. Her mother is Castilyn Eleanor Williams, but she has never met her father.
Before relocating to Kingston, Jamaica, at age three, she lived with her family in Harmony Hall, St. Elizabeth. She continued to go back and forth to visit her grandmother between St. Elizabeth and Kingston.
Before enrolling in Exced Community College, Shenseea attended Mona High School and graduated with a degree in entertainment management.
Career
Shenseea was signed by Lemuel Samuel‘s music label Rockstar after a few years as an influential musician. She became well-known after singing on a side stage at Reggae Sumfest in 2015 and remixing the popular Vybz Kartel song Loodi on the Reggae Sumfest stage.
She received Young Hot and Hype Artiste, Break Out Celebrity of 2016, and Collaboration of The Year for her song Loodi with Vybz Kartel at the 2016 Youth View Awards. In addition to dancehall music, she has demonstrated rapping ability through freestyling.
Shenseea appeared in the song Right Moves from Christina Aguilera‘s 2018 album Liberation. In October 2018, Vybz Kartel and Shenseea worked together on the song Secret remix.
The hip-hop/dancehall song Blessed, which she released in 2019 after signing with Interscope Records and featuring American singer Tyga, has received over 58 million views on YouTube as of April 2022.
Shenseea worked with Jamaican music producer Rvssian to create the single IDKW in January 2020, including American rappers Swae Lee and Young Thug. She made an appearance on Major Lazer‘s Music is the Weapon and Masego‘s Studying Abroad albums in the same year.
Shenseea worked with Kanye West on his album Donda in 2021, contributing vocals to the tracks Pure Souls and Ok Ok Pt 2 with Roddy Ricch. She also made an appearance on stage at Kanye West‘s Donda concert in Chicago. She gained her first Grammy nomination for her contributions to Kanye West‘s record when she was nominated for Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022 as a featured artist.
Wassim Joseph Slaiby, alias Salxo or Wassim Slaiby, who also oversees The Weeknd, signed Shenseea in 2021 and manages The Weeknd and Doja Cat.
Megan Thee Stallion is featured in Shenseea‘s song Lick, which was released on January 21, 2022. Her debut album, Alpha, released on March 11, 2022, contains the song.

Before her singing career took off in 2015, Shenseea gave birth to her son Rajeiro Lee at the age of 19. Her baby father’s name is Rob Lee, while Romeich Major has become a father figure to her child.
At the age of four, her kid received an endorsement contract with Babybop Kids Store in 2020.
Shenseea has been the girlfriend of 21 Savage (2019), Rvssian (2019), Romeich (2017-2018), and London on da Track.
