News broke on Sept. 3 that Jonas was seeking a divorce lawyer, and on Sept. 5, POPSUGAR confirmed Jonas had filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County, FL. According to documents obtained by Today, the filing states “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”

On Sept. 6, Jonas and Turner posted a joint statement to Instagram that read, “After four years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Jonas and Turner share two kids: daughter Willa, 3, and another baby girl, 1, whose name has not been revealed publicly. Jonas, 34, and Turner, 27, first started dating in 2016 and announced their engagement a year later. They tied the knot in 2019.
