Lessons in Chemistry FIRST LOOK: Brie Larson sports 1960s era costume as she begins filming Apple TV+ drama
Brie Larson has been spotted filming for new Apple TV+ drama Lessons in Chemistry for the first time on Wednesday.
The Oscar-winning actress, 32, sported a 1960s era costume for the role, wearing a brown plaid maxi skirt.
She also donned a brown argyle sweater vest layered over the top of a white collared shirt.

She added a beige jacket to keep the cold at bay, while shielded her face behind a clear face mask.
As she tucked into some food between takes, she strolled around in a pair of modern Crocs that clashed with her vintage costume.
Her blonde tresses were styled in a 1960s appropriate curls, and she completed her look with a light palette of makeup.
According to Variety, Brie will be starring in and executive producing the upcoming drama series.

The show, which received a straight-to-series order at Apple, is based on the upcoming debut novel from author, science editor, and copywriter Bonnie Garmus.
Erin Brockovich screenwriter and Unbelievable co-creator Susannah Grant is writing the series and will also serve as an executive producer.
Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan will also executive produce under their Aggregate Films production company, which currently produces such shows as Netflix’s Ozark, HBO’s The Outsider and A Teacher at FX on Hulu.
Apple Studios will produce the series, which will air on its subscription video on demand streaming service, Apple TV+.

Set in the early 1960s, Lessons In Chemistry follows Elizabeth Zott (Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a society deeming that women belong in the domestic sphere, not the professional one, according to the plot summary.
When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone and fired from her lab, she musters the ingenuity only a single mother has.
She accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes … all the while craving a return to her true love: science.
So far there’s no word on when the series will premiere.
The Lessons in Chemistry novel is slated to be published in spring 2022 by Doubleday in the U.S. and Transworld in the U.K.

After breaking into television with a number of guest starring roles, Brie made her debut on the silver screen in 2004’s 13 Going on 30 and Sleepover.
From there she scored roles in such films as Greenberg (2010), 21 Jump Street (2012), Don Jon (2013), The Spectacular Now (2013) and Trainwreck (2015).
Her breakout came when she won the Academy Award For Best Actress for her riveting and heartbreaking performance in Room (2015).
In more recent years, the Northern California native is best known as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero film Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame.
Brie will slip back into the role for the sequel to Captain Marvel, which is scheduled for release on November 11, 2022.
