The TV star addresses the end of her marriage on her Higher Learning podcast early on Friday morning.

‘I didn’t think I would get emotional,’ Rachel began.

‘First off I just want to say thank you for people who reached out. I’m still trying to reply to people. You just never know how great your circle is until you see all the people that reach out and love you.’

She then shared: ‘Obviously it’s a difficult time, if you’ve read the headlines, and you’re probably wondering why I would even work.

‘But to be honest with you I need to distract myself from myself and the best way to do that is to do something that I love and I love Higher Learning.’

Rachel said she would ‘eventually’ share the reason for their split: ‘Now is not the time, just trying to take it day by day.’

On Tuesday it was claimed by PageSix that the 43-year-old chiropractor filed for divorce from the 38-year-old reality TV star.

Bryan soon after confirmed the breakup.

In the court documents, he reportedly stated that they split on December 31, 2023 as he cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the union crumbling.

Bryan is also asking for spousal support. They do not have any children together.

She met Bryan during season 13 of the reality TV show The Bachelorette in 2017 then they became engaged after he received the final rose; the couple married in Cancun, Mexico in 2019.

The news comes just a few weeks after Lindsay said on a podcast that they have been living ‘totally different lives.’ She said the problem was their very different careers as he works up to 12 hours a day while she has more free time.

This is quite a change from what she said in July 2023.

Lindsay share that she hoped to start trying for a baby in a matter of months.

She also remarked that Abasolo would ‘love to have twins.’

The star admitted she is ready to start a family and ‘take a step back’ from work.

Speaking to DailyMail.com’s Russ Weakland at Project Angel Food’s 4th annual Lead With Love Fundraiser in Los Angeles, Rachel opened up about her important plans for the coming year.

‘I am trying to take a step back and not work as much leaving 2023 – and going into 2024 with something new,’ she explained.

She told DailyMail.com: ‘I’d like to try a kid. I would like to have a kid. That’s something new for 2023, hopefully by 2024 that is something that happens.’

When asked if she would prefer to have a baby boy or girl, or even twins, Rachel laughed: ‘Twins! No don’t do that to me, don’t do twins. My husband Bryan would love to have twins,’ before adding: ‘Me? I’ll take one at a time!’

Confirming that she would like to have multiple children, Rachel said: ‘I’m 38, so as many as I can have after 30. That is my 2024.’

Earlier this year, Rachel’s book, Real Love: A Novel, was published and she’s keen to write more in the future.

‘I really want to create more, so I would love to see my book turned into a TV series or a movie,’ she revealed.

‘I’d love to tap into my other love which is true crime. I’m realizing, to have stability in this industry, you’ve got to be able to create so I want to do more of that,’ she added.

When she’s not writing, Rachel is a correspondent for Extra as well as a co-host of the Higher Learning podcast alongside Van Lathan.

She used to host the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast but decided to quit in April 2021.

Announcing her departure during one of the episodes, Rachel said: ‘I’m going to make this short and sweet: All good things must come to an end and I feel like certain things run their course and for me I have run my course when it comes to the podcast.’

Rachel explained her decision to leave came down her mental health.

‘For me I’ve been struggling, that’s no secret,’ Lindsay said.

‘And it’s been really, really hard for me lately and a lot of the things that we talk about on this podcast are also about taking care of yourself and finding your peace and protecting that peace and protecting your mental health.

‘And so for me, I just feel like I’ve come to the end of doing the podcast and I’m glad that I’m leaving on a high note where it’s the 100th episode, it’s such a big milestone.

‘This is the first podcast I’ve ever done and for me, it’s just stepping away. You should never say never.

‘I’m definitely closing the door but I’m not locking it and throwing away the key. It’s just I have to, for me, walk away. And I feel like this podcast is in amazing hands with you.

‘For you, I just feel like this is at a place where I can walk away and I know it’s all good and I know it’s gonna be great and you’ve allowed me to have the space to step away when I needed to and I would listen to the podcast on the side and I’m like, “Oh, she’s got this,” and like, for me it’s like you can walk away now, I can walk away.

‘I’m doing some other things, I’m sure I’ll pop in from time to time to say hello,’ she added.

Rachel has never shied away from airing her frustrations with the Bachelor franchise ever since becoming the very first Black Bachelorette in 2017.

She first found fame in Bachelor Nation as a contestant on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, where she received the first impression rose and came in third.

The fan favorite soon thereafter made history as the very first Black lead on the show when she was named the next Bachelorette.
