Sean Dyche previews the game

There’s so much coverage of the takeover that we don’t need to address it with the players. They’ve had enough distractions.

Performance-wise I’ve been happy but table-wise not. The table doesn’t lie, we need to get it right.

We’ve got players coming back but the squad is starting to show signs of getting deeper. It’s not so easy agaisnt these top sides.

Mikel Arteta explains his selection calls

We wanted to be the squad with the quality players in this position. They have to be games. It’s the same with other players.

We are trying to put the best possible team out to start the game. That’s what we’ve done here.

It’s been six years since we won here and there is a point to prove. it’s not enough.’

Arsenal’s goalkeeper situation

One wonders what this could mean for Arsenal’s goalkeeping situation going forward.

Raya in the league and Ramsdale in the Champions League? A bit of rotation?

Either way it’s a big call from Ramsdale. The benefits of having two number ones, I guess.

More on that and Havertz being dropped below.

Everton still struggling

It’s been more of the same for Everton this season, who have just one point from their opening four games of the season so far.

They picked up a point at Sheffield United last game and were perhaps lucky to do so, but Sean Dyche hasn’t been able to help the side’s fortunes after a disappointing campaign last year.

A takeover should help, but it looks like it’s going to be another year of struggle for the Toffees.

Ramsdale and Havertz dropped

Some big calls made by Mikel Arteta today, with David Raya replacing Aaron Ramsdale in goal and Kai Havertz also dropping out. Fabio Vieira replaces him.

They’re the only two changes for Arsenal from their 3-1 win over Manchester United a fortnight ago.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin returns

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is back involved for Everton today for the first time since picking up a facial injury in the Toffees’ 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

He’s on the bench, with Mykolenko replacing Patterson and Dwight McNeil coming in for Garner.
