Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic sent fans into raptures after a stunning display against Sassuolo on Tuesday night.

The Serbian striker has frequently been linked with a move away from The Old Lady, with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal often reported to have an interest in his services.

However, neither club has seen fit to bring the former Fiorentina star to the English top-flight – but his heroics on Tuesday night might leaving Premier League chiefs wondering why.

Vlahovic scored two goal of the season contenders against Sassuolo, as the hosts ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at the Allianz Arena in the Serie A clash.

It was enough to see the Turin-based giants maintain a two-point gap behind leaders Inter and keep up their challenge for a first Scudetto in four years, with Vlahovic the star of the show.

Vlahovic’s first goal on a memorable night in Turin came after just 15 mins to break the deadlock against Sassuolo.

Receiving the ball on the right hand side just outside the box, the Serbian forward took a touch out of his feet, before curling it right into the very top left corner, beyond the grasp of a diving Andrea Consigli.

And if that wasn’t enough he pulled off an arguably even more impressive second of the night just 22 minutes later to double both the advantage and his own tally for the night.

The hosts won a free-kick in almost the exact same spot on the pitch, with the 23-year-old taking his place over the ball.

This time, however, rather than sending it across goal, Vlahovic wrapped his left foot around the ball and instead fired it into the top-right, summoning a venomous amount of dip and swerve on the strike to once again beat Consigli and his wall.

They were the Serbian’s eighth and ninth goals of the season in 18 games, and his fourth in as many outings in Serie A, with Vlahovic enjoying his time in the Italian top-flight of late.

Yet the forward himself was not the only one enjoying himself on Tuesday night, with Juventus supporters flocking to social media to pay tribute.

One wrote: ‘This just a masterclass, brilliant strike from Vlahovic… doesn’t get much better.’

A second echoed the same sentiment, adding: ‘Doesn’t get much better than that,’ followed by three flame emojis.

Another questioned whether the goals were even possible, stating: ‘Ok, so he defied the laws of physics.’

In response to a clip of his free-kick, a fourth wrote: ‘That is just a thing of beauty.’

While a fifth was clearly in disbelief, writing: ‘You must be kidding! Vlahovic,’ followed by a crying emoji.
