Manchester United are considering offers from Marseille and Monaco for defender Eric Bailly.
Enquiries from West Ham, Fulham, Sevilla, AC Milan and Roma had focused on loan deals but Marseille are willing to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent deal.
The 28-year-old, who joined Manchester United for £30million in 2016, is seen as the ideal addition for the Ligue 1 sides as they look to strengthen their back line this summer.
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has attracted interest from Marseille and Monaco
The Ivorian centre back has made 113 appearances over six seasons at Old Trafford but has struggled with injuries and regular game time throughout his spell at the club. He featured just seven times in all competitions last term.
United are opposed to letting Bailly leave on loan, with the defender under contract until 2024, and are instead seeking a permanent departure.
Roma also remained interested in Bailly, with Jose Mourinho keen on a reunion with the player who was his first signing while in charge of the Red Devils.
The Ivorian centre back was a key part of Man United’s 2016-17 Europa League-winning team
Full-back Ethan Laird is to join QPR on a season-long loan after they beat Watford to him
Bailly was a key part of the United side that won the Europa League in 2016-17, while he also won the League Cup and Community Shield during his first season at Old Trafford.
However, he has gradually fallen out of favour and is now behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane and new £55m signing Lisandro Martinez in the pecking order.
Meanwhile, Championship side QPR have beaten Watford to the signing of United full-back Ethan Laird on loan.
