Welcome back to the Soul of Sport. For the latest episode of the series, KEVIN QUIGLEY travelled to the Emirates to watch Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side leading the Premier League and champions Manchester City holding games in hand, the hosts were under pressure to earn all three points and keep their title charge on track.

They responded to the challenge in style, however, and moved just two points off top spot after goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Saka swept home a rebound after Alisson saved from Kai Havertz but the Reds equalised on the cusp of the half-time whistle, Gabriel inadvertently touching into his own net after a defensive mix-up.

Another defensive calamity, this time of Liverpool’s making at the other end, then allowed Martinelli to tuck Arsenal back in front before Trossard made sure of the result after firing through Alisson’s legs inside injury time.

Our cameraman captured the action pitchside…
