West Ham are showing late interest in Le Havre defender Etienne Youte Kinkoue.

German side Eintracht Frankfurt and Austrian’s Red Bull Salzburg are keen on the 6ft 5in France youth international.

But the centre-back, viewed as one of Le Havre’s leading prospects, is also on the Hammers radar ahead of the transfer window‘s closure on Thursday.

The £10m-rated 22 year-old came through Inter Milan’s academy after joining the Italian side from Troyes.

He gained his first senior experience with Greek club Olympiacos second string side before earning a move to Le Havre last January ahead of their title win and promotion to France’s top flight last season.
